Our Story

Founded in 2015, Deep Brewing Co. is a Tallahassee-local craft taproom and kitchen built on a love for small-batch beer, creative food, and bringing people together. What started as a deep dive into homebrewing by Co-Founder and Head Brewer Ryan S. LaPete has grown into a community-loved brewery and kitchen.

Our identity is inspired by Ryan’s background as a commercial and scientific diver, and that sense of curiosity and exploration shows up in everything we do. From our beer names to the dishes on our menu, each detail is thoughtfully crafted alongside Co-Founder and Executive Chef Justo “Justin” Cruz. Together, we’re always exploring new ideas, flavors, and ways to make every visit memorable.

The underwater theme at Deep Brewing Co. is more than just a look — it reflects our passion for discovery, depth, and pushing boundaries in the food and beverage industry. From easy-drinking core beers to bold stouts and crisp, refreshing lagers, we brew with purpose and exploration.
